Supposedly, when you learn to be an energy healer, you experience it yourself. This mysterious life force energy enters our bodies and helps the body heal itself. Part of it is the mysterious yet potent interaction between each person’s expansive subconscious and unconscious minds through microexpressions and presence. Another part of it is faith.

Faith is the cornerstone by which people have extended their capabilities and surpassed their supposed limitations. Using faith, we can manipulate our imaginal selves and imaginal existence, which we interact with and live through in dreams, and change our dream world to align with our passions, goals, and truest desires.

When I got Reiki I attuned, I started experiencing disturbing symptoms. It felt as though my mind and body were trying to expel that which did not serve me well, and I started reliving traumatic memories and promptly crying them out. This was, well noted, before I knew that this was supposed to happen. It was a profound and emotional rollercoaster, more significant and more potent than any mood swing from bipolar disorder, and then they were released and done for.

Spiritual and mental cleansing is good for us. We come out of it stronger and better equipped to handle difficult circumstances, and our resilience grows. The theory is that once we let go of the negative foundations of our unbalanced emotions, we will attract better things and have the confidence and swift judgment to navigate anything on our path to achieve the path of least resistance. On top of that, we now have magical powers and psychic abilities. We can heal using the increased temperature of our palms, channeling the universal life force energy, which is sacred and pure.

If we apply Reiki on ourselves, we can allow our bodies to do a better job at doing what it does best — against all odds to keep us alive in a delicate symphony of complex biological processes, the full extent of which only those with a medical degree can know. We can also heal common ailments like soreness, headaches, and general muscular malaise from pressure and emotions stored within them. Part of it is a mental game; the rest is faith. Setting your priorities makes it clear how to proceed.
