Why Do I Get Good Sleep?

Sleep is a cornerstone metric for measuring wellness and overall good health. Good sleep indicates that your body is working as it should. Sleeping well every night shows hope for increased health and longevity until old age.

I’ve been sleeping phenomenally at night for a while, and it is unclear exactly why. Here is a picture of my sleep from last night. It is the weekend, so I can sleep and get the needed sleep.

As you can see, my sleep duration is about 12 hours, with nonstop sleep going through regular sleep cycles. According to the Pillow app, my sleep quality is 94%.

I get good sleep because:

  1. I am healthy overall. I take my vitamins, eat relatively well, exercise, do activities I love, and maintain a stable baseline mental health.
  2. I am joyful. I have an excellent relationship and glorious friendships with friends and family.
  3. I love my work. I am a “writer” because it’s in my job title, and I write in my spare time as a side hustle here on Aimee Sparrow.
